Awesome Adjectives and Shapes Galore!

This week, we have been studying adjectives in Language Arts class.  We discussed adjectives that would describe popcorn...

...and then, of course, we had to try some popcorn to see if we could think of any more adjectives!

K/1's STEM challenge this week saw them working together to create two- and three-dimensional shapes out of playdough and toothpicks.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

What a busy couple of weeks we have had!  Here are just a few highlights:

First Grade learned about measurement and telling time in math class.

For Earth Day, we were able to see Born in China at Ronnie's 20 Cine in South County.  We loved the baby animals!

In science, we are learning about observable patterns in the day and nighttime skies.  We are making a cool folded picture project that will work almost like a hologram!

The wonderful Whitney family bought a pizza lunch for grades JK-1!  Thank you so much for the delicious food!

We are looking forward to the next couple of weeks before we go on summer break!  It will be another busy time, full of fun projects and lots of learning!
