Papel Picado

This week K/1 learned about El Dia de Los Muertos, or The Day of the Dead today.  We created papel picado ("chopped paper") decorations bearing a beautiful skull.  Many decorations for the Day of the Dead feature decorated skeletons.  We had a blast! Que divertido!

3rd Quarter AR Party

Grades K-8 took the day on Friday to celebrate all of our hard work with the Accelerated Reader Program for the 3rd Quarter.  We ate lunch and played at the park and then ended the day with ice cream cones and sundaes!

Read Across America

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, Mr. Gerdes came to our classroom to read Dr. Seuss books and give us treats as part of Read Across
