Lights! Camera! Action! And more Action!

This week, First Grade learned that verbs are action words with some fun activities:

First, we played a game where the students were given a verb to act out and find a partner acting out the same verb.

 Next, we made our very own action heroes, complete with verbs to perform.

In Spanish class, we have been learning about colors.  We play games like Slap It! and The Bell Game to help those words stick in our brains.

First Grade is Fantastic!

This week, we begin the day engineering projects that meet the criteria of our STEM task cards to get our brains warmed up.  "STEM" stands for "Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics".  Our first graders are so brilliant!

In Language Arts, we have been learning about singular and plural nouns.  Today, we played Noun Sort and Noun Go Fish to explore the topic a bit more!
