This week has been full of fun activities!

We have conducted several science experiments...

We bought presents for our family at Santa's Kottage...

And we used "elf pillows" and "reindeer noses" for math...

Fall Slime!

For a fun science experiment last week, we created glittery fall slime!

Vibrations Cause Sound!

In our science unit we have been learning about vibrations and sound waves.  The First Graders first worked in groups to make sound with random objects and then created their own instrument.  The instrument was able to be adjusted to show that fast vibrations created high-pitched sounds and slow vibrations created low-pitched sounds.

Sound Waves

In our latest experiment, the First Graders demonstrated that sound waves, while invisible, are able to move other objects.
