Sound Needs Vibration AND Air

In our science experiments last week, we discovered that vibrations cause the air around objects to vibrate.  When we struck a tuning fork, we felt the vibration.  When we held it to paper, it made the paper vibrate with its own sound!

The drum vibrated and moved the paper clips on top of it.

First Friday Faithfulness

At St. Johns, we devote the first Friday of every month to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Each class keeps a banner and picture of the Sacred Heart for an entire month, as a reminder of His love for us, and then we pass it to the next class.  Pictured:  Jett, Corbin, and Savannah process up the aisle in church to pass on the banner to Third Grade.
