First Grade was given an assignment to disguise a turkey so it wouldn't be eaten for Thanksgiving. The results were creative, thoughtful, and so funny!
"I am not a turkey. I am a highway worker, my name is Tom. Please don't eat me so I can see Santa. You should try a ham for Thanksgiving."
Carter
"Are you looking for Tom Turkey? I have not seen him. I am not a turkey so please leave me alone. I am Santa Claus. So, I am not for dinner this year. Ho, Ho, Ho!"
Sophie
"I am a sheep. I would not taste good because I would taste like fuzz. I would taste like wool."
Caleb
"My name is Olaf. I met my friends at the beach. If you put me in the oven I will melt."
Ava
"I don't want to be eaten because I would miss my husband! I love to eat leaves. I am a giraffe. Please do not eat me! It is shady here."
Audrey
"My name is Annie. I am a pilgrim. I do not want to be eaten because I want to live. I like life. I would miss my family."
Kaylin
