K/1 has been studying different types of energy (light, heat, sound) and how they can change or move things. In our experiment, we filled a film canister with water, dropped an AlkaSeltzer tablet in, and quickly snapped on the lid. We thought it was SO cool when the lid shot off! Even when it didn't work, our little scientists started hypothesizing about why it didn't work and how we could change it next time. We certainly saw that energy can move things today!
