How Matter Changes/Life Skills

This week, K/1 has been learning about about how matter can change with heat, freezing, and cutting, among other methods.  To demonstrate this change, we first examined plain white bread, describing its taste, smell, feel, etc.  We then toasted the bread to determine how the heat changed it.  Along the way, we learned how to use a toaster, making sure to remember that we can only use it with an adult's permission! :)

After our experiment, we loaded the bread with butter and yummy jams and enjoyed the fruits of our labor!
